Students taking GCSE History have the option of buying a copy of the key textbook revision book. The History Department uses a range of GCSE text books throughout the course, a key one of which is “Modern World History” by Ben Walsh, Hodder publishers, now in its third edition. Whilst we have enough books for each pupil to use in class, we are not able to send these books home. Some pupils have expressed an interest in purchasing their own copy of this book which we can offer as a school at the reduced priced of £16.00. We wish to emphasise that this is only an option and it is not compulsory to have one of these books at home. We must also make you aware that we are looking to purchase a school licence to make this book available electronically to all pupils.
In addition, there is a very useful History Exam Revision Book, again by Ben Walsh, which we do recommend as it has proved to be extremely helpful in aiding our students’ revision programme on approach to the final exams. As a school we can purchase this book at the discounted price of £6.00.
