This term, Year 7 are supporting the Alresford Rotary Club Christmas Shoebox Scheme through which shoeboxes filled with gifts are sent to less privileged children (aged 1 to 15 years) in Tanzania, Montenegro and Romania. This charity project is always met with a wonderful enthusiasm by our students. Last year we made 100 shoeboxes!
Parents can support their child’s tutor group by:
- Filling and wrapping a shoebox from your family. (Choose an age group and gender from the details that follow.)
- Contributing items to be added to boxes filled by your child’s tutor group
- Contributing £1 towards transportation and administration cost
Boxes are sorted according to age and gender: Girl/Boy Ages 1-3, 4-7, 8-11 and 12-15
Due to Customs restrictions, you need to choose items from the following list:

- Battery powered items

The children will be creating boxes in tutor time up until half-term. We will let you know how many boxes we manage to send this year and the Guidance Team would like to thank you, in advance, for your help.
