When your child is moving from primary to secondary school, you will be sent an application form (usually via your child’s primary school in the autumn term of Year 6) and applications are dealt with centrally by the Childrens Services Department. If your child attends a private school, a school outside Hampshire, or you move into the area after the autumn term, you should apply directly to Hampshire Children’s Services for advice and an application form.
Should it be necessary for any applicants to go to appeal, for students wanting to start in Year 7 in September 2012, any such appeals will be heard on 25th June 2012.
If you wish to apply for a school place at any other time, please contact the Headteacher’s PA at Perins to ascertain if space is available. We also encourage you to visit the school and talk with one of our Pastoral team. Before starting with us, we normally invite a new student to spend a day at the school. This helps your child to become familiar with the school and we ask them to take a number of assessments in key subjects, to ensure that we can place them in the appropriate classes to make good progress with us. The application should be made through Hampshire Children’s Services.
