Following an exceptionally successful trip to Paris this year, Perins is delighted to be able to run the trip again in September 2016. The trip is open to the whole of Year 8, and is an excellent opportunity for the children to practise the French they have learnt in class, as well as the chance to visit one of the most famous cities in the world. It provides an opportunity for the year group to share in an experience that will bond them, and provide them with a true ‘Perins memory’.
The trip will take place during the first full week back after the summer holidays, departing in the morning of Monday, 12th September 2015 and returning on the Friday evening, 16th September.
During the visit, we will stay at a PGL centre on the outskirts of Paris, in an activities centre named Chateaude Grande Romaine. The accommodation is set in 70 acres of grounds and has many on-site activities, and all rooms are en-suite. We have yet to finalise our itinerary, but possible activities include:
- A day trip to Paris, visiting the principal tourist attractions, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Cathédrale de Notre Dame
- A boat trip on the River Seine
- A visit to the Château Vaux-le-Vicomte
- Cultural visits such as a trip to a French market
- A day trip to Disneyland Paris
A finalised itinerary will be published nearer to the date of departure.
The cost of the week in France is £360. This price will include all meals whilst in Paris (first meal will be dinner on arrival), all travel and excursions and all activities. Children who have their own valid passport at the time of travel will be expected to travel on it (although a member of staff would physically take care of it). For children without their own passport, we do have the capacity to apply for a collective passport, the cost of which would be included in the trip fees.
Please Note: if you intend to include your child on this trip and they were born outside the UK please contact Mr Papanicolaou.
