E-learning is a specialism at Perins and Information Technology is becoming increasingly important in our students’ development. Through our pioneering Perins laptop scheme our teaching staff actively encourage the use of computers in lessons and at home as the students learn new skills and develop confidence with the technology.
Our Computing course enhance these skills and introduce students into the use of IT in the workplace and prepare them for their future careers.

We will share information about how the curriculum at Perins educates students to help keep themselves safe online. We will share some practical tips for you to support your child online at home. The second part of evening will be drop-in workshops between 5.30 and 6.30pm, where you’ll have an opportunity for a more personalised and hands-on experience of:
- Show My Homework’ and Perins’ ‘Moodle’ – What is the purpose of these platforms and how can I support my child at home?
- Internet basics – Using the internet and simple Microsoft programs
- IT Helpdesk – Problem-solving specific device/networking issues
We look forward to seeing you on the evening but the presentation will be available on our school website in due course, should you not be able to attend.
