We have a well-established Gifted & Talented programme.
Pupils who are recognised as ‘Gifted’ are those who are able within academic areas of learning and who are attaining highly. Those who are ‘Talented’ are those who are able within sport and the arts who are attaining highly. ‘Able’ pupils are those who have the potential or capacity to develop expertise in one or more areas of learning or performance.
Gifted & Talented pupils are identified within department towards the end of the Spring Term of Year 7, and other pupils may be added to the Register throughout their time at Perins, as the list is constantly reviewed. Each department has its own G&T representative amongst the staff who ensures that there is quality G&T provision within the department.
