Year 11 Maths Revision Sessions

The final Maths module for Year 11 is on Tuesday 19^th June, which is over a month after Year 11 leave Perins School. As a result of the large amount of time between leaving the school and their exam we are making ourselves available to all year 11 to come in for help at the following times:

Monday – Period 1 & 4
Tuesday – Period 1 & 5
Wednesday – Period 2 & 3
Thursday – Period 1
Friday – Period 4 & 5

(Period 1 is 8.45-9.45; period 2 is 9.45-10.45; period 3 is 11.05-12.05; period 4 is 12.05-1.05; period 5 is 2.15-3.15)

On moodle your child will be able to find the full course content, with examination help, and past papers. To find this content they need to click on Curriculum, Maths, GCSE Maths.

Able Linguists 2012 – update

We are delighted to welcome our Able Linguists back to school after a very successful trip. Everything went to plan, and staff report that the students were a genuine pleasure to be with – well-behaved, enthusiastic, appreciative and taking every opportunity to develop their language skills. Thank you Miss Sautier and Mr Waters for all their hard work, and well done to all.

Charity Fete

Congratulations to the students who ran the Fete in aid of SEPIA on Saturday 5^th May. There was lots to do Raffle – Tombola – Games – Stalls – Daytime Disco (12pm-1pm) – BBQ – Drinks – Cakes – Chocolates – plus entertainment from our Arts Festival winner, Harry. The fete was to raise money for SEPIA to provide books and pens for pupils in Africa and we are delighted that over £500 was raised. . Many parents will already know that SEPIA is a small local charity with strong links with Perins which has also worked closely with, and been supported by, several of our feeder primary schools. Diamond Jubilee Competition

GCE & GCSE Results August 2012

GCE – AS results will be available for collection from the School Office on Thursday 16th August 2012 from 9.30am to 1030am.

GCSE results will be available for collection at school in Pascal 1 on Thursday 23rd August 2012 from 9.30 am until 11.00 am.

If you wish someone to collect your results on your behalf, they must bring a letter of consent from yourself. No results can be given over the telephone or by email.

Students must ensure they hand in to the school office their signed Statement of Examination Entry and £1 which covers the administration costs associated with collecting results and Presentation Evening. Presentation Evening is designed for you and your parents, to meet your old class friends and teachers, to celebrate all of your achievements as a year group and receive your certificates. It will take place during November and students will receive an invitation from the Head Teacher and Governors in the Autumn Term. On receiving your certificates at Presentation Evening, please keep your certificates safe – they can only be replaced by the exam boards, who will ask for proof of identity and charge a substantial fee.

GCSE/AS Exam Timetable

All Year 11 pupils have been emailed with a copy of this information, which is the master timetable. Students should ensure they are at the exam at least 15 minutes before any exam start time. Year 11 students will receive a printed personal exam timetable after Easter but must change any start times on that timetable so that they are the same as those on this master timetable.
