|Teacher of English
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and well-qualified individual to take on a management role in our established English & Media Team at Perins.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher to the position of Deputy Team Leader. This is a full-time position and the successful candidate will be supporting our newly appointed Team Leader in taking the department forward and building on current successes. The Deputy Team Leader will have responsibility for a Key Stage or GCSE subject area and will, amongst other tasks, participate in the professional development of the whole department.
Due to an internal promotion, we are also seeking to recruit an Assistant Team Leader to support the Deputy and Team Leader. This role is flexible depending on past experience and is likely to require responsibility being taken either for a subject (e.g. Media) or for a process (e.g. Transition).
About the Department
English studies at Perins are core to ensuring our students can fulfil their future potential, whatever their chosen career. Our team of exceptional English teachers creates inspirational lessons for all, delivering strong exam results each year and leading the development of practice within the school as a whole.
In addition to the core subjects of English Language and English Literature, Perins also offers KS4 students the chance to study GCSE Media. English teachers with experience of teaching Media would be well suited to the position available.
We are committed to providing a rounded and rich educational experience for all students at Perins as we believe that everyone is entitled to high levels of individual achievement, care and support.
Our motto “In Omnia Excellentia” (Excellence in Everything) reflects our aspirations that every student has the opportunity to progress and develop in all areas, preparing them for the future. We value the richness and diversity of the educational experience we offer, both within and beyond the classroom.
