Abi Newman (2020 leaver) has been accepted on to the GB Start programme for British Rowing  (the pathway for preparing future Olympians). We will follow her progress with excitement.

Our autumn / spring sports club timetable which can be found on our website here, continues to run until Wednesday 6th April. Please encourage your children to attend at least one club per week. We are particularly eager to recruit some more students to martial arts (run by World Jujitsu Champion, Trevor Birmingham) on Fridays (1515-1645) and Year 8 badminton on Mondays (1615-1700).

Thank you for your continued efforts in ensuring that students are wearing navy blue garments for PE; they are looking very smart.

Before writing a note to excuse your son / daughter from a PE lesson, please remember that we can modify activities to accommodate students with mild conditions. If they are recovering from injury, we are also happy for them to carry out rehabilitation exercises in their PE kit during their PE lesson.

Finally, a reminder that Winchester Health Clinic will be giving a presentation on common sports injuries suffered during childhood in the Perins Main Hall this evening (Wednesday 2nd March). The presentation begins at 18.15; please indicate your wish to attend via this form here.
