Sports Clubs

The autumn term sports club programme has begun and details can be found here:

Students do not need to sign up in advance to attend the clubs and all activities are free with the exception of fitness fever (£1 per session to be paid in cash on attendance) and golf (booked and paid in advance via SCOPAY). Pupils must wear Perins PE kit for all activities. A late bus service to Basingstoke will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, departing from the Perins bus bay at 1715.

Fixtures begin this weekend, fixture lists will be posted at the link above when they are finalised. Team sheets will be posted on the noticeboard outside the PE Office, students who are selected but unable to play must email the member of staff taking their team at least two days prior to the event so that replacements can be invited.

PE Kit

Students are looking extremely smart during this opening week of term, all kit appears to be navy and white and many of the outgrown shorts / skorts have been replaced – thank you very much for your support.

Teamwear (optional items such as rugby shorts and training tops) can be purchased via SCOPAY.

Holiday Highlights

There have been some impressive achievements by Perins students past and present during the holiday, here are the highlights that we are aware of:

Athletics

2022 leavers Charlie E-P (U17 boys hammer) and Alex Beck (U17 boys 400m) both won bronze medals at the UK School Games.

Cricket

Y9 student, Jake V, played for the Hampshire U13s throughout the summer. His stand-out performance was against Sussex in which he scored 93 runs to help Hampshire to victory.

2021 leaver Rachel King was voted player of the tournament at the UK School Games. Rachel is hoping that her performances at the event will lead to her selection for England’s U19 World Cup Squad.

Football

2017 leaver George Wickens has bee retained by Fulham FC this season. He has played the first four matches of the season for their Premier League 2 side.
