Congratulations to Alex and Charlie C who both passed karate gradings recently. Both are members of Winchester JKA Club. Charlie has earned his 9th Kyu grading (orange belt) having only joined a club this summer. He passed with no issues and is already working on his next kata for his 8th Kyu (red belt).
Year 10 Alex, who joined the Winchester club in 2019 has earned his 5th Kyu grading (purple belt). The pandemic in 2020 initially slowed progress but Alex is currently the highest graded student to have started at the club, and is now a senior who will be helping students who join.
The club meets every Tuesday and Friday in Kingsworthy and everyone is welcome.
