In the summer term, Years 8 and 10 students are offered a trip to Paris. These two separate and different trips are an excellent opportunity for the children to visit one of the most famous cities in the world and experience an exciting European culture.
Previously the students have stayed at the PGL centre on the outskirts of Paris, in an activity centre named Chateau de Grande Romaine. The accommodation is set in 70 acres of grounds, has many on-site activities and all rooms are en-suite.
The Year 8 trip is open to the whole year group and provides an opportunity for as many of the year group as possible to share in an experience that will bond them and provide them with a true ‘Perins memory’.
This trip, over a long weekend, has cost in the region of £400- £450 in the past and students have taken part in some of the following activities:
- Day trip to Paris including a coach tour of the main attractions
- Boat trip on the Seine
- Cultural visit to a French market
- A day at Parc Asterix
- Tour Montparnasse
- Chateau de Fontainbleau
The trip in Year 10 is usually offered to students who are studying French, Art or History.
This trip, over a long weekend, has cost in the region of £450- £500 in the past and students have taken part in some of the following activities:
- Visit to Monet’s house
- Palace of Versailles
- Musee D’Orsay
- Day trip to Parc Asterix
- Meal out at Hard Rock Café
- Visit to La Coupole
- Coach tour of Paris
