Clubs Update

Badminton and Indoor Athletics Clubs will not run during the weeks beginning 8th & 15th November due to trial exams.

Fitness Fever will be offered on additional nights to ensure that students have something constructive to do whilst they are waiting for clubs that begin at 1615.

We are going to revert to our former “pay on the night” system. Students will be asked to pay £1 in cash each time they attend the gym, unless they have pre-paid in September via SCOPay.

Sessions will be offered as follows:

Monday – Y8, 10 & 11

Tuesday – Y9 + All Years Rowing

Thursday – Y9, 10 & 11

Friday – Y8 – 11

A number of impressive wins were achieved by Perins students over the half term:

Biathlon

Five students competed at the British Schools Modern Biathlon Finals, which were held at Bath University.

All the students who took part did incredibly well and all set new personal bests. In the U14 Girls Annabel S and Sophie Y came 42nd and 51st of 66 respectively. In the U13 Boys Rory S came 20th of 63. In the U12 Girls Alexis H won 1st British Schools Modern Biathlon Champion and Ruby M came 32nd of 97.

Squash

Three students competed at the English Squash Championships at Nottingham University. Ollie F (Y7) finished 30th, Harry F (Y10) finished 11th and Megan L (Y10) finished an exceptional 2nd, claiming the silver medal.

Lacrosse

Seb M and Lewin H (Y9) competed at a national lacrosse event in Manchester and were members of the winning team.

Golf

Finton C (Y11) and Oscar V (Y10) competed at the Hampshire Schools Golf Championships at Cams Hall Estate Golf Club.
