Wider School Opening Information for Year 10 Students

Year 10 students and parents were recently sent an email about returning to school.  We are really looking forward to welcoming our Year 10 students back.  As it has been a long time since we last saw these students there have inevitably been some changes. In order to make sure that students are safe in school, we have divided the year group into quarters and are minimising the number of people each student spends time with. There are new rules that are essential to follow both while at school and travelling to and from home:

Our procedures and expectations are here

Our temporary behaviour rules and consequences are here

Students were asked to pre-order school lunches if required for the days they are in school for morning and afternoon sessions.  They were asked to order their choices for each day by completing a form (this has now closed).

Each student has been emailed a personal timetable for the days they are in school.  The AM Session starts at 09:30. Students should not arrive before 09:15.  School finishes at 15:00 with buses departing at 15:15.

As part of the ongoing efforts to ensure that we maximise the safety of students and staff at Perins, we are collecting vital information regarding the vulnerabilities of our students and those with whom they live.

If your child or anyone in your household falls into one of the categories below, please can you inform us via an email to   This information is being collected to help us accurately assess and minimise the risks to our students and their families and will be kept confidential.
• My child is considered ‘Extremely Critically Vulnerable’
• Somebody in our household is considered ‘Extremely Critically Vulnerable’

If you are in any doubt about these categories, please refer to the guidance available on or contact us via the email address above.

If we hear from you with the information above, we will complete a full risk assessment which we will share with you.

Pastoral Support
As mentioned by Mr Jones, there will be an opportunity for students to have a 1:1 with one of our Pastoral Team in the afternoon of the half days. If your child would like to make use of this provision then please could you complete this form here and someone will be in touch to arrange a meeting?
