Exciting Spanish Opportunity!

We are delighted to inform you about an exciting opportunity for our Year 11 Spanish students. On Monday, 4th November, your child may have the chance to take part in an online conversation session with students from Southampton University.

The aim of this activity is to give our students valuable practice in speaking Spanish with fluent and near-fluent speakers, helping them to build confidence and prepare for their upcoming speaking mocks, which will take place the following week.

Sessions will run at the following times:
8:50 – 9:30
9:50 – 10:30
11:10 – 11:50
14:15 – 14:55
Students will be excused from their normal lessons for one of these times and will attend a 1:1 online session on Teams in a language classroom, supervised by Mr Eastham or Ms Ercolani.

This activity is free of charge. As this is the first year we are trialling the project, we are not yet certain how many university students will be available. For this reason, places may be limited, and unfortunately, we may not be able to offer a slot to every student who applies.

Pre-approved Script

Both Perins students and Southampton University students will need to sign the Code of Conduct and adhere to the pre-approved script. We hope that the script will help our students feel confident in taking part, as it clearly outlines what the session entails.
