Perins School: Year 10 welcome back letter

Dear Parents and Carers of Year 10,
I hope this email finds you well and that you and your family had a restful and enjoyable summer break.
As we begin the new academic year, I would like to extend a very warm welcome back to all our Year 10 students and their families. This year marks an important step in your child’s educational journey as they continue to aspire with their GCSE courses in earnest, and now with their final Options chosen. It is a time to raise aspirations to the highest level, and we are excited to support them every step of the way. Applications for the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and POR (Position of Responsibility) will both be happening this Autumn term.
Our dedicated team of teachers, tutors and support staff are committed to helping each student reach their full potential. We will be working closely with them to develop strong study habits and skills, with a positive attitude towards learning. This will happen during subject lessons, Elevate lessons and within the Tutor time programme. We also encourage students to take advantage of the many extra-curricular opportunities available to them this year.
In addition, Year 10 students will have the opportunity to complete their Work Experience week in March. Please look out for more information coming out shortly regarding this.
