Prom Information

Year 11 prom, taking place on Friday 27th of June at Voco, Winchester*.
Arrivals will begin from 18:00, with welcome drinks 18:30-19:30. Food buffet will be available from 19:45. The DJ will play the last song at 2300, this will be the closing time. Parents, carers, and siblings are welcome to watch arrivals at the venue, being mindful to stay out of the turning circle when vehicles are arriving. Parking is extremely limited at Voco and their parking cameras will be suspended for the evening. There are likely to be long queues on arrival due to the tight turning circle and colleagues will be on hand to help manage traffic flow. It is helpful if you can park at the Science Centre and walk down to Voco.
Students are free to be collected before 23:00 but no later than 23:15. We are hiring a private function space, so we need to be adhering to their rules, no external food or drink is allowed to be brought into the function room, and we must only use the space we have hired. Please ensure any essential medication is in students’ possession or handed to a Perins First Aider, including asthma inhalers and EpiPens if required.
On arrival Mrs Newsum, our official Prom photographer, will be taking photos of students. She will be wearing pink high-viz top and it is important both vehicle drivers and students follow her instructions to ensure everyone arrives in reasonable time. If you do not want your photo taken, please let Miss know when you arrive. The photos will be available to download from a private online link (that they cannot share publicly) - this will be shared with parents and students via email; the photos will be ready to view within a week of the event and will be open for downloads for 6 weeks before being removed.
Perins staff will be on duty to support Voco staff and are there to celebrate one final time with the year group. Anyone caught drinking alcohol or under the influence of substances will be removed from the venue and phone calls will be made for collection. This is a great memorable experience for the students, and we do not want to have to intervene, but poor behaviour will not be tolerated.
Both staff and students are looking forward to the event and I am certain it will be a fun-filled evening.
Best wishes
Miss Sweetman
