Iceland Trip Opportunity

UPDATE: The space has now been filled!

The Perins Geography Team are running an optional residential trip to Iceland May half term for students who have chosen to study the subject to GCSE in Years 10 and 11. One space has become available on the trip therefore we are opening the trip to Year 9 and 10 students who are not currently studying GCSE Geography but have an interest in Geography or Environmental Science.  

The trip runs from Saturday 27th to Wednesday 31st May 2023 and will cost £1124 per student on a full board basis. To give you an idea of what the trip involves, here is a sample of the itinerary:

  • Secret Lagoon (Geothermal pool)
  • Thingvellir National Park (Mid-Atlantic Ridge)
  • Geysir
  • Gulfoss, Seljalandsfoss and Skogarfoss (Waterfalls)
  • Solheimajokull (Glacier)
  • Raufarholshellir Lava Tube
  • Lava Centre
  • Black basalt beaches
  • Reykjanes Peninsula

If you are interested in your child attending, please register your interest by completing this Form, by 9am on Monday 24th April.

If by this time we have more than 1 student interested, 1 name will be selected at random to go on the trip, and any remaining students will be put on a waiting list. The order of this list will also be drawn at random.  You will be notified by Tuesday 25th April whether your child has a place on the trip or has been put on the waiting list.

Once the place has been allocated, we will require the full payment to secure your child’s place, this payment will be due by Tuesday 2nd May, if we do not receive full payment by this date, we reserve the right to take your child off the trip and offer the place to the next student on the waiting list.
