We are establishing a consultative stakeholder group that has defined terms of reference whose responsibility will be for issues regarding online safety and the monitoring of the online safety policy, including the impact of initiatives. Meetings will be held termly at the school.
The online safety group seeks to include representation from all stakeholders and therefore will include representatives from students, school staff teams, parents and trustees. The functions of the group are yet to be fully determined but are likely to include assisting school teams to keep up to date with new developments in the area of online safety, reviewing the online safety policy in line with new technologies and incidents, monitoring the delivery and impact of the online safety policies, monitoring the log of reported online safety incidents etc. In addition, it is envisaged that the group will have some involvement in the promotion of online safety, both in school and in the community.
