A Letter from the Head

From all at Perins School, we wish you and your loved ones a happy new year.

In the words of Anne Frank- “what a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven’t even happened yet.”

As we all prepare those New Year’s resolutions which have variable degrees of longevity and success, let’s set ourselves aspirations that have purpose, are realistic, help us build on what has gone before, and allow us to secure firm and positive foundations for the future. Encourage your children to share a realistic but challenging goal with you. Write it down; hold them to it; make them work for it promoting the building of the life skill that is resilience. Support them through each stage needed to achieve their goal and then celebrate their satisfaction together at reaching every milestone.

Our expectations integrate with the Perins Values, which we reinforce at every opportunity. It is so pleasing that in the first term of this academic year 90% of the points issued to our students were positive achievement points, celebrating their commitment to the core principles Perins represents. This gives us a positive platform from which to launch 2024.

By getting the minor things right we assist in maintaining the necessary diligence for larger aspirations to succeed. If we all reinforce the key elements from the beginning of the year, we will propel our young people forwards to be successful in attaining the goals they choose for themselves.

The right to Learn/ Teach.
The right to be Respected.
The right to be Safe.

We look to welcome all our students back at school on the 2nd of January, prepared with a positive outlook, wearing their uniform correctly and demonstrating a readiness to learn. These elements will set the tone for everyone to enjoy a successful new year!

“Aspire today; Inspire tomorrow!”
