Last weekend, 40 Year 7 students visited Manchester for a football trip. We had five teams play against local opposition, followed by a trip to the Etihad Stadium to watch the treble winners put on a show with a 5-1 win against Wolves, the highlight being Haaland scoring four goals!
That evening they walked across to Manchester City’s training complex for a training session with the City coaches. The following morning we woke for a second training session, this time on the inside training pitch. We ended our trip with a brilliant stadium tour of the Etihad before a well-earnt sleep on the coach home.
“The trip was a fantastic opportunity for the students to experience world-class facilities at an elite level and it did not disappoint! We had some excellent friendly games against local, welcoming opposition, the game was as entertaining as we hoped for, and the stadium tour far exceeded my expectations. But the highlight was seeing the students train at Manchester City’s training ground. The student’s were brilliant throughout the weekend and were visibly awestruck many times.” – Mr W Bentley
“The trip was really good and the experience of going to the game and getting a tour of the stadium and training from professional coaches at the training ground is something I’ll remember forever.”- Ellie Kruger
“I really enjoyed the trip, the highlight would be the game, but it was great to train at the Man City training ground and the sessions were really enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this trip! – Rafferty Bolshaw
