The house system praises the students for their academic and extra-curricular success, charitable work and pride and ownership across the school, as well as creating friendly competition between houses. Many Interhouse events are held throughout the year, including sports day and House assemblies. Each house also supports a local charity.

The House system is a long standing tradition that creates competition, promotes good work and behaviour, encourages teamwork, provides opportunities to take on responsibilities and brings everyone in the school together. At the start of their journey at Perins, every student and staff member is assigned a house where they remain for the duration of their school life. The four houses: Ventus; Ignis; Terra and Aqua, stand for VITA which is the Latin for ‘Life’.
