Perins Equestrian Club’s Sparsholt Activity Day

On Monday 7th April 2025, a group of enthusiastic Perins Equestrian Club members enjoyed a fun-filled Activity Day at Sparsholt College. From the moment they arrived, students immersed themselves in a range of hands-on experiences designed to deepen their understanding of all things equine.
Highlights of the day included:
Horse anatomy workshop – painting bone and muscle structures directly onto live horses, bringing textbook diagrams to life
Horse care and turnout – grooming, tacking up, and mastering best practice for stable management
Cross-country and show-jumping simulator – practising course tactics and perfecting take-off timing in a safe, virtual environment
Easter egg hunt – a lighthearted break with treats hidden around the training yard
Chase Me Charlie competition – a spirited race on the simulator, with rosettes and prizes awarded to every participant
"The Activity Day at Sparsholt was amazing! I really enjoyed learning about horse anatomy and getting to paint on the horses. The Chase Me Charlie competition was so fun—definitely one of the highlights of the day!"
Congratulations to all our riders for their curiosity, teamwork, and sportsmanship—especially in the hotly contested Chase Me Charlie event!
We’re already planning our next Activity Day for July 2025, so keep an eye on your emails and our social channels for further details. We can’t wait to saddle up again!
