Celebrating Sport and Inclusion at Legacy Games

Last week over 300 students from Amery Hill, Eggars, Oakmoor, Perins and Thornden came together to take part in the Legacy Games a unique and inclusive sporting event inspired by the London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Now an annual tradition, the Legacy Games allows every participant to compete in five different activities throughout the afternoon, encouraging teamwork, resilience, and fun through sport.
This year’s line-up included a wide range of events such as badminton, rounders, boccia, wheelchair relays, ultimate frisbee, indoor rowing, goalball and athletics, ensuring all students, regardless of ability or experience, could take part and shine.
A huge well done to all students involved for their enthusiasm and sportsmanship, and thank you to the staff and volunteers who made the event such a success.
The Legacy Games continue to be a fantastic celebration of physical activity, inclusivity, and community spirit.
