Join us for a very special concert of music known to Jane Austen to celebrate the 250th anniversary of her birth. Internationally renowned soprano Susan Gritton will be joined by Eleanor Medcalf, up-and-coming harpist and Jane Austen expert.

Interspersed between songs will be readings from Jane Austen’s letters and novels, delivered by Henrietta Garden (Vera Gissing in One Life) and James Larkin (Master Treasurer Fitzwilliam in Wolf Hall). Two illustrious screen actors – also Ropley residents!

For the final item, the soprano and harp duo will be joined by the choir of Perins School, Alresford in a world premiere performance of a new setting of Jane Austen’s Prayer.

The concert starts at 7 pm. Doors and bar open at 6.15pm.

Reduced price for Perins Choir families available here.
