Twenty-two Perins students proudly represented the school at the Hampshire Schools Swimming Gala on 2 October. Every swimmer earned admiration, whether for their impressive skill in the pool, their willingness to take on less-favoured strokes, or their courage in competing for the very first time.

Our senior teams performed brilliantly, securing bronze and silver medals, cheered on by the sensationally enthusiastic support of their junior teammates.

The teams were especially excited to compete wearing their new Perins swimming hats, generously provided through the support of the Wood Family and sponsors Fast and Female, a company founded by Olympic medallist Freya Anderson, whose mission is to educate and inspire girls in sport. We are extremely grateful for their generous backing.

A huge thank you also goes to the event organisers, including Perins parents, Yvette Wood and Charlotte Barton, for creating such a fantastic competition at Winchester Leisure Centre’s impressive pool.

Thank you, everyone and well done team Perins!
