Letter from Mr Nevola - Head of School 5.12.25
Word of the Week – Illuminate
As we enter the season of festive activities, Perins continues to illuminate our community with creativity, collaboration, and care. Our students are working closely with local primary schools on a variety of projects, from supporting their productions to assisting with other festive preparations, such as singing at the arrival of Father Christmas to Alresford, strengthening the bonds that make our school a central part of the local community. This is in addition to our onsite activities, which I will mention in my next letter to you or check out our social media pages Facebook Instagram.
One of the most rewarding parts of my role is interviewing students for Posts of Responsibility at Perins, which I completed this week. These conversations truly highlight the incredible talent we have on our student body, the dedication of our students and their commitment to making Perins the best it can be.
I also wanted to share some helpful information and reminders:
Smartphone Free Childhood Group has compiled a review of mobile phones suitable as starter or follow-on devices, giving you peace of mind that you can contact your child without worrying about online risks. Watch the review here.
A reminder that today is the final day to provide feedback for the Local Area SEND Inspection. Please take a moment to complete the Hampshire wide survey: Help Us Strengthen Our Communication Networks.
Looking ahead, as I have mentioned previously, Perins is proud to be one of the pilot schools for the Big AI Project. We are forming a small parent working party to explore how AI can be used positively in education. If you are interested in joining this discussion, please contact the school via the schoolmailbox.
I would also like to highlight the generous support provided by the Alresford Pigs, whose contribution at this time of year will assist some of our more vulnerable families. Their kindness will enable us to provide food vouchers over the Christmas period, helping to ensure that these families can enjoy a festive season with dignity and care.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us make Perins a vibrant, forward-thinking community.
Kind regards,
